After a perfect christmas holiday (!!!!) with family, cross country skiing, a lot of snow, really relaxing days and good food, I'm back in Switzerland. And I have just started the winter saison here. It started with a beginners course in Skitouring the last week. I am not sure if I want to define myself as a beginner when it comes to doing ski tours.... but in the swiss way of doing it, and in the swiss mountains, I think I am :-)

Anyway, it was a great weekend! I learned a lot about avalanches, using the beacon (Skredsøker/LSV), snow conditions, and even good tips in skitour-technique uphill and downhill. And now I am fully equipped with skitouring-equipment and some new knowledges, and ready to do using the swiss winter mountains:-)
The first day in the course it was snowing and snowing and snowing. No view, some wind, but still we did a tour, and I must say, being outwards in the mountains I find nice anyway, although we couldn't see many meters ahead of us. The good thing about all the snowing is that we got great conditions on saturday and sunday with a lot of new fresh snow:-)And we got sun too:-) So we had some great tours these days, with a great way and really funny downhill skiing.
